Al Gonzalez is the founder and financial planner at AG Wealth Advisors. With more than 20 years of financial-services experience, he helps professionals, families, and business owners coordinate the many decisions involving cash flow, investments, retirement, taxes, insurance, and estate planning.
Before entering financial services, Al held sales and leadership roles with several major corporations, including Johnson & Johnson, 3M, AT&T, and GE. He later worked with New York Life, AIG, and TD Ameritrade.
Al also experienced layoffs and career transitions during his corporate career. Those experiences gave him a firsthand understanding of the financial and emotional uncertainty that can accompany job loss, career changes, and employer transitions. Today, he uses that perspective to help clients evaluate their options and move forward with a clear plan.
Al earned a BSBA in International Economics from Boston University and an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. He completed the Financial Planning Certificate Program at The University of Texas at Austin in 2021 and earned the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® designation in 2023 and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation in 2025. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
A native of New York City has lived in Texas for the past 40 years. Al now lives in Dripping Springs, Texas, with his wife, Jackie. They have three adult children and a grandson. Al has served on the Boston University Alumni Council and remains actively involved in the Dripping Springs community through the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club.
Outside the office, Al enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, reading, and spending time with his family. His greatest professional satisfaction comes from helping clients feel heard, understand their choices, and prepare for both the opportunities and uncertainties ahead.
